Learning disabilities

Learning disabilities and other developmental issues may impact how individuals learn and respond to new stimuli, potentially making living independently either difficult or near impossible. We know that there is nowhere quite like home, so aim to support individuals with learning disabilities to be able to live as independently as possible.

How it works

Safe Harbour’s trained carers can provide care and support for a range of disabilities. We offer a free initial assessment, which allows us to craft a bespoke plan that properly supports the individual needs of you or a loved one. We even try to consider your aims and ambitions – we believe strongly that disability of any kind should not be a barrier to living the life that you desire, and our care options are provided with that in mind.

Who will care for my loved one?

We can assist with a wide variety of needs and activities, from the day-to-day that you would expect to more complex problems or circumstances. Our carers can provide support with a number of smaller jobs around the home, such as shopping or cleaning, or even help with bigger jobs like gardening. This care extends outside of the home, too, with opportunities for leisure trips, outdoor activities, and social events.
